Greetings, all. Finally getting some cold weather here, though I do miss the days where September 1st ushered in the fall weather. It seems like those days are behind us.

I have been hyperfixated on games lately. First it was The Elder Scrolls Online, then it was Degrees of Lewdity. And this wasn’t the run-of-the-mill type hyperfixation. This was the maladaptive type that meant I spent hours upon hours sucked into the worlds and only came up for air. Not working a regular job didn’t help with that, there was literally nothing to pull me away. I mean, there was writing deadlines that should have pulled me away, but fighting my brain is an on-going battle. I am coming out of it now, back at my computer first thing in the morning to write.

Still working on Papa’s Toy. Behind, of course, as I could have predicted from the beginning, no matter my good intentions to not leave it to the last minute. Again, fighting my brain. I would be a force to be reckoned with if I wasn’t so disabled, I swear. It’ll get done though, even if I have to stay up the night before, crying and cursing myself into oblivion.

I may have mentioned this before, but I don’t remember half the things I say, so I’m gonna say it anyways: after the collab that Papa’s Toy is a part of, I am planning to not participate in any other collabs for awhile. I’ve enjoyed my time spent working in them, but I would like to focus more energy on my personal projects and unfortunately my energy is limited. I’ve got a few stories on the backburner I would like to return to.

I feel like all I do is talk about ideas and brainstorm, but any actual writing is a struggle. But I am determined to do it! Queer voices are needed now more than ever.
