Boycunt Nation: New Website and Shop, Itchio, and Updates

Greetings, Nationers!

Hope everyone has been having a decent summer, despite all the chaos happening in the world. Mine has been okay. Been dealing with a bit of funk and hyperfixation, that makes for a lot of disassociation. I have been blasting my way through Horizon: Zero Dawn (viking-esque characters in Colorado, USA with robot animals) and Forspoken (BIPOC MC shot into the middle of a new world with magical parkour), which I highly recommend for people to play. (If you have PlayStation Plus, it’s on there!) Got a new tattoo that’s a very colorful beetle with freaky eyes. Just trying to find the small pleasures.

As the title says, got a new Website and Shop open! https://torinlove.com is now live. All of my future books will be put up on the site for people to buy (will still sell on Smashwords).

It was the smack-down from Itchio that pushed the need for a new website. Somewhere to sell that I have less chances to fear being shut down. I say less because let’s be for real, it can happen anywhere anytime. It is very disheartening to see another company bow to whims of censorship, instead of giving any kind of pushback to protect its creators. And the way that Itchio handled it… no warning? No heartfelt announcement? The reaction of Itchio’s CEO (owner, creator, whatever) just giving a salute emoji (which I found to be a “fuck you” to me and my fellow creators)? Heinous. Disgusting. Unprofessional. May they step on Legos for the rest of their life. (I’m not even going to dip into the bootlickers defending Itchio.)

But now we are just looking forward! To a new shiny website, to more books in the making!

My Hot Wet Queer Summer Dash story, Bite Back, is still in progress. At the end of the Dash, I will be releasing just an excerpt. I realized too late that for the amount of worldbuilding I need to do, I need to give myself more than just a few months to do it in. I would have dropped out, but I had already commissioned a cover. So instead, I will release the excerpt for free on my site, and then in the months after the Dash is over, I will continue to work on the story and release it all at a later date.

Speaking of cover, my artist sent me the final piece, and I am so excited for it. It looks amazing and I am so pleased. I will be doing a cover reveal on IG next week, on the 26th. So stay tuned for that!

Next up is my progress on my dark incest taboo story, Papa’s Toy, as part of a collaboration that will be announced at a later time. I am also looking forward to the cover for that one, and I think this story will outshine my debut. Soon enough I will be disclosing more.

Last but not least, I am starting to put together a list of taboo shorts I want to write up. Just all the smut. First up will be Desperate Measures: what a trans masc is willing to do for money for top surgery.

Some great things to look forward to, and now that I have spent all that time working on a new website, I better make sure to do the writing!

I will be doing my best to send out more newsletters. If not writing related, perhaps I’ll throw in some fun videos or music or game or whatever I’ve been consuming.
