Boycunt Nation: Covid, Mothman, and Writing

I should have touched the shiny butt

Hello, Boycunt Nationers! Hope everyone has been doing okay. I, unfortunately, got Covid earlier this month and it knocked me on my ass. I was mostly unconscious for about three days straight. And I’ve been dealing with a lingering cough, which is always fun. Not.

Two weekends ago, my girlfriend and I went to the Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. We did the TNT tour, which is where they take you to places that the cryptid was seen. (I didn’t get any pictures of the places, I was too engrossed in the story and looking at the scenery.) There were a lot of vendors and we bought some goodies.

Writing has slowed down since getting sick, though I have gotten a few hundred words done each week. Not anywhere I want to be, but still glad I got those done. I’m 6,000 words deep into Papa’s Toy (with a goal of 20k). Still set to release that on November 18th. As for my United in Filth stories, that got put aside because of the sickness, and then extreme hyperfixation. (I do that after big events that take a lot out of me. Can’t really control it.) But I’m getting back on the path. Redoing my release schedule for the MM+ shorts, and I’m now outlining stories to make my life easier. So far I have 10 shorts outlined. Once I get 15 done, I’ll start writing them, and then when I have 5 written, I will start posting them. At least I’m getting some work done.

After the collab I’m doing Papa’s Toy is done, I’m going to limit myself on what I do outside of my own personal projects. I’ve got some stories set on the back-burner I want to return to, and while I do enjoy doing collabs and such, it does take a lot out of me. Though if CLC Press does a submission call, I am hopping on board for that.

That’s all for this time. Take care of yourselves!
